Bigs In Schools
A Big Brother or Big Sister
gives a child an additional friend in his/her life. “Bigs in Schools” are
carefully screened volunteers from the community who spend just an hour a
week with their Littles at their school. They never leave school grounds, but
do things together like visit the school library or computer lab, play on
the playground, or play board games or do art projects in the school.
Thoughts from Families
From a Parent:
“My boys were matched perfectly and it really fills my heart to see
them so happy and excited. Big Brothers Big Sisters gives them the
opportunity to have another person to look up to, get support from, and
spend fun times with.”
From a Little:
“Matt is the best. We do lots of fun things together. My Big Brother
is the coolest guy I know. I’m really glad my mom signed me up for
Big Brothers Big Sisters. I could go on and on about Matt, but it would
take way too long. Matt is my best friend.”
